Natural Radiance Review!

Hello everyone! I am very happy to share with all of you my favorite web store for Korean skincare products!

NaturalRadiance.net

This online web store sells the greatest Korean facial products for extremely affordable prices.
Some of the products they sell include sheet masks, facial masks, bb creams, eye creams and masks, nose strips, and other amazing products for face and body; although, they are expanding to include other beauty items such as Korean brand false lashes!

I have been accepted into the reviewers club for Natural Radiance! As member of the Reviewers club we receive a box of goodies every few weeks to review. This month I received a few sheet masks and some pore strips.

 Clear Derm Sheet Masks ($1-$5)

-Seaweed Essence sheet mask:  This one smells fresh and clean, it does not smell salty or ocean like. It does hydrate the skin.  This is something I would try again.

-Red Ginseng Essence sheet mask: This mask is one that I will not be repurchasing. I definitely do not like this one because of the scent. I thought this would smell like a sort of tea but was unpleasantly surprised when I put this on my face.
It smelled like dirt, weeds, or roots. Just a earth-y dirty smell. It was so bad that I couldn’t stand wearing the mask for more than a few minutes.
I tossed it in the trash and left the room. When I came back a half hour later, my bedroom reeked of roots and dirt! I had to open the windows and turn on the scents-y. I’m sure that the quality of the mask and the effects it has on the skin are great, but it smelled so awful I did not get to fully experience it.

-Royal Jelly sheet mask: This is another favorite of mine because it has royal jelly in it and that is something I like a lot of my facial products to have.

Just a quick FYI; Royal Jelly is what worker bees feed their Queen bee and the larvae. This jelly has a protein that causes queen bees to become fertile, large, healthy, and live longer. There’s a reason why the queen bee is so much bigger than the other bees and lives the longest. She only eats royal jelly.

Now imagine putting this miracle food on your skin; it is the most nutritious thing you can use on your skin. It provides hundreds of minerals and vitamins to your skin as well as aid in preventing wrinkles.

This mask is the ultimate treat to your skin, when I used it, I noticed my skin was the softest I have ever felt it and very supple. It smells like baby powder or baby lotion. They recommend wearing this for 15-20 minutes but I left it on for about an hour until it was completely dry so that my skin could absorb all the nutrients.

Pure Derm Sheet Masks ($1-$3) and Pore Strips($3-$5)

-Mineral Water Collagen sheet mask: This mask is by far my favorite sheet mask; I do prefer this one over any of the others that I have tried. It is very hydrating, it refreshes my skin after eating unhealthy or being around a lot of pollution. That can make your skin look and feel exhausted. After using this mask I notice my skin is plumper, has more elasticity, and is over all brighter in appearance.

Aside from the sheet masks I also received 2 boxes of pore strips for the nose which is perfect. These are only a few bucks and work exactly the same as the Biore ones I used to use but for a better price.

I received these in "Aloe" and "Charcoal".
-now the aloe one did not have any scent to it at all which is comforting because if these stink, you  aren’t going to put it on your nose are you?
Also, pore strips can sometimes be painful to use, but this pore strip didn’t hurt a bit. I used this on myself, my sister, and my mother. We all agreed that there was no discomfort when using these. I think it might be the aloe that soothes.

-Last thing I want to talk about is the pore strips in charcoal. I did not like these, again, because of the scent! I am not joking or exaggerating, these REEK of “smoking hotel room”. It smelled like someone who frequently smoke cigarettes. Some may like that smell but I found it very unpleasant and could not stand having the smell around my nose. Aside from the smell, these do work well and clear out your blackheads. The charcoal in these also help shrink pores with regular use.

There were only two or three products that I didn't enjoy from this bunch but mostly because of the smells in them, not because the quality was bad.

Please check out Natural Radiance for some great deals!!

Travalo Perfume Atomizer!

Hello! Ever wanted to take you're perfume with you but the bottle was too big to carry around? Or you had a leak and you lost some product? How about the entire bottle shattered in your bag and now everything is ruined? OH NO!

There is a fix for that! (sorry for the cheesy info-mercial narrating hehe).

I was sent a perfume atomizer by Travalo

What it is: A perfume atomizer!

Why do would I use one?
-Easy way to carry perfume on the go or while traveling
-Airport approved! (You cannot vacation with you're regular perfume bottle, airport security will take it away!)

Price: The Excel size I received is priced at $21 but the different sizes and colors range from $13-$21

Packaging: The Excel comes in a plastic clear and black bullet case with a silver vine design. The bottom is flat so you can stand it up on your vanity.

How do I fill it up: This thing is the easiest to fill up. I know Sephora also makes a perfume atomizer but their's needs to be filled with a funnel which is prone to spilling. The Travalo Excel has a special stopper on the bottom which allows the bottle to be filled easily but prevents any spills or leaks into your purse or luggage.
1) Take the spritzer lid off your perfume bottle to expose the little tube/spout underneath
2) Place the stopper of your Travalo over the perfume spout
3) Pump the Travalo as if you were spraying perfume on yourself
4) All done!!

Travalo Excel holds: 65 sprays, about .5 ml

Available in: 10 different colors and a handful of sizes, styles, and carrying cases!

If you're from the states, you can purchase your Travalo at the Perfume Salon!

Want to win a Travalo? There is a giveaway EVERY DAY on the their Facebook page! Enter the Daily Spray for your chance to win!

I CUT OFF ALL MY LASHES!!

What a way to grab someone's attention, eh?? Sadly, this wasn't just something to get your attention, I did accidently cut my lashes off, but not all of them, thank God!

Hello Lovees! I am happy to bring you all this amusing post, it was highly requested and I hope it makes you laugh! :)

Some may remember, I have complained about this so much; but, I HATE the ELF lash curler! Every time I use it, it some how manages to cut my eyelashes! No, I did not pull them out on accident with the curler, nor did I pinch myself and pull my lashes out. I cannot understand why this keeps happening and I don't plan on investigating and losing more lashes!

Basically, this is what happend.
I'm getting ready for New Years and I have finished my makeup look for the night. All there is left for me to do is curl my lashes and apply mascara. I can't find my everyday, drugstore lash curler, so, unwillingly, I turn to my ELF one. Rubber in place, old mascara goop wiped away, I place it along my lash line and clamp down. And I hear it. That scary, easily recognized sound of hair being snipped. My heart is suddenly beating loudly in my ear as the panic sets in. "Oh no.. Oh my God, not again!". I pull the lash curler away and look closer in the mirror. Yup. In the center of my lashline, I have a bald spot. *le sigh*

You can imagine what happens next. I tossed the curler for good and whipped out the ol falsies and lash glue.
RED arrows: my bald spot, oh no!
BLUE arrow: My peely eye rash! (Post coming soon on that)

It took me 3 months to grow out my lashes the last time this happened. Only, last time I somehow managed to snip my entire lashline on both eyes! So, hopefully it won't take as long to grow out this time around.

Go ahead and have a laugh at my bald spot, its ok! I have to admit, it is so ridiculous that I even laughed at myself this time :)

What do you think? Have you had a similar accident happen to you before? I would love to hear it!
Also-- has anyone else had this happen with their ELF curler?

Love and Lipstick,
Monique

Sproos Shop Designer Headbands!

We are getting into fall now and I am more likely to put more effort into my look during this time of year. I spend just a bit more time on my clothes and makeup. I like to dress up straight hair or tame a wavy/curly style with headbands.
I was lucky enough to recieve a handful of cute hair accessories from this wonderfully company for review on my blog! And I might even be doing a giveaway soon! So keep reading in the upcoming weeks for news!
Something I love about this company is how personal it is. The owner, Melissa Motos, and I were emailing eachother back and forth about her fab and chic hair pieces which include headbads, bows, flowers, and pins. These headbands are amazingly comfortable. I hate when I buy a cute headband but have to throw it away because it makes me sore behind the ears after only an hour or two! This is not a problem when it comes to Sproos bands! And another great feature? Free shipping and free returns on anything you didnt like! Talk about pretty much risk free!
I was allowed to pick any ten accessories that I wanted and this is what I was crazy to try out! If you would like to own cute accessories like these, checkout the Sproos website at: http://www.sprooshop.com/ . "Spruce" up your look and Enjoy! ;)

E.L.F Mechanical Eyelash Curler

After watching some of my favorite Guru reviews on youtube, I was sold and had to order ELF's eyelash curler! I was very excited to get this becuase my lashes, like my hair, cannot hold a curl to save my life. This is also only one dollar and comes with an extra pad and a plastic clamp that holds the curler closed when not in use. When this came in, my excitement dropped and flopped to the ground. I may have just gotten a bad batch (considering everyone else's wonderful raves) but this lash curler sucks, simply put. The rubber pad is always falling out and it falls apart. When I clamped the curler down it cut the rubber in half. That is not the worst part, just how it cut through the rubber, it also cut my lashes! Yes my lashes are now half their length, and I already had short lashes! However, this was about a month and a half ago and my lashes are slowly but surely growing back. I caution everyone when buying this curler, becareful!

E.L.F Studio Small Brush Holder

Tired of keeping my brushes all mixed up, I bought one of ELFs brush holders, this is the small one for $5; although now I wish I had bought the larger one for $15 because they are just so chic. This little cutie is made of a plastic covered in a rubbery coating? Im not sure how to explain it, its similar to the coating on NARS blush compacts which becomes hard to clean sometimes but eh, I guess some dish soap takes care of it. This can hold quite a lot of brushes for its size. I like to keep my daily-use brushes in it for easy reach. It says Eyes Lips Face on the front; although it cant be seen in this photo. It looks cute sitting atop a desk or vanity!

E.L.F Studio Mineral Face Primer

To kick off my ELF review, I have here their mineral face primer available for $6.00. If you havent heard of ELF cosmetics before, get on this stuff! This company sells their drugstore brand at the lowest prices ever! These products are available at Target starting from $1, $3, and $5!! I had huge orders so I shopped online. This silicone based primer goes on before makeup to make your face a flawless canvas for your foundation and concealer. Meant to fill in lines and pores, this base will make your face smooth and help your makeup last all day long. This is a great product for the price. This really does apply smoothly and help makeup glide on. It is silicone based which will need to be exfoliated off when washing makeup off. I have no complaints because for only six dollars, it works well and does what it is supposed to do, and its better than paying up to $24 for a smaller amount of Smashbox primer. My only caution is that silicones may make the face oily; however, I have oily skin and this was not a problem for me. Another caution: The pump on this product (genius!) is faulty (not so genius..) It squirts out way too much product in just one pump and the pump is very tough to push down. I recommend carefully pumping half a pump onto finger tips, rubbing finger tips together, and applying a dot on the chin, forehead, and both cheeks before rubbing in with your fingers. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, here is your fix.

Face Scrubbie

When I first started questioning people about their skincare, I had a million questions from products others use to how they used them and why. One thing I never asked was what people use to clean their face with, I assumed that most just used their hands. Now there are products out there to help wash your face, like the Clarasonic and the Wave. I've been wanting to try those but they can get pricey, and to be honest I am young and usually do not have tons of money to throw around so I have yet to get any of those products. Instead, I use this cute little face scrubbie and it has done wonders for my face! I used to have acne prone skin and I would get major breakouts; especially around the time I got my period. But ever since I have been using these scrubbies I have only had about three pimple. Not three breakouts, just three pimples. I bought this scrubbie at... The Dollar Store! It came in a three pack and I thought "why not give it a try". Im glad I did. This thing is double sided for superior cleaning. One side is soft and lathers nicely; while the other side is for exfoliating to remove dead skin cells and debris, giving you a clean and bright complexion. I like that these can be thrown in the wash and be reused, or you can just throw them away and buy new ones at the Dollar store. I definitely reccomend this if, like me, you cant afford the bigger products at the moment. It works great and its only a buck :) Happy blogging and God bless!

Tweeze Me!

I went on a Sally’s run a few weeks ago to pick up some balm and hair products and I ran across these tweezers. They were all so cute, there were a dozen different designs but I liked these best. I bought them because they were cute. These tweezers are at Sally Beauty Supply for around $4 I believe. I can’t remember the name of them but they’re right by the front counter. I didn’t go home and try them out right away; I just threw them in my catch all. But when I finally did use them I was just a tiniest bit disappointed. I didn’t like the way the tips of the tweezers felt, it was actually really sharp, it felt like a metal emery board on my brows. It’s almost like the manufacturers didn’t file down the tips. I haven’t used the tweezers since so I think I’m just going to file them a little myself. I also didn’t like that they barely opened up. As you can see in the third picture, these don’t open any more than a like three centimeters. It’s a cute pair, but it’s not working for me lol. Maybe for some of you, this could work. Anyway I guess that’s what happens when you buy something just because it’s cute! Happy blogging and God bless!
