E.L.F Studio Stipple Brush

I really love stippling brushes. Of any face brush, they are my favorite and when I go shopping I always convince myself that I can never have too many stipple brushes! So, of course, as I was shopping through ELFs online store I decided to get another stipple brush. This is available for only $3 so I thought it was a pretty good deal considering my favorites have ranged from $16 to $34. This type of brush is great for applying liquid makeup because it gives a light and even application, making your makeup look smooth and air brushed. It can also be used to apply face powders, blushes, and bronzers when you want a very light and sheer amount. Now, ELFs Taklon brush is standard size but very light. I like my brushes to have a little weight to them because they apply makeup better. A light brush makes it easy to apply too much makeup or gives you a streaky finish. I have never seen a brush with bristles that shiney? Im not sure why but that was a red flag for me; quality brushes dont have shiney bristles. Another thing I didnt like about this brush was that it had a very ygly smell to it when I first opened it. It was strong and "chemically" and didnt come out after the first few washes. This is not a good stipple brush at all, there are not enough bristles to make it that air brushed tool. Over all this brush is a miss for me. It may be that I'm just used to a sturdier brush and this couldnt compare? If you are just starting out your collection then it is an "okay" brush, but for someone who's looking for great brush this is one of those hits and misses thing. For $3 it is really all you can ask for. I hope this was helpful! Happy blogging and God bless! :)

E.L.F Studio Small Brush Holder

Tired of keeping my brushes all mixed up, I bought one of ELFs brush holders, this is the small one for $5; although now I wish I had bought the larger one for $15 because they are just so chic. This little cutie is made of a plastic covered in a rubbery coating? Im not sure how to explain it, its similar to the coating on NARS blush compacts which becomes hard to clean sometimes but eh, I guess some dish soap takes care of it. This can hold quite a lot of brushes for its size. I like to keep my daily-use brushes in it for easy reach. It says Eyes Lips Face on the front; although it cant be seen in this photo. It looks cute sitting atop a desk or vanity!

ELF Studio Kabuki Face Brush

As I was moving my collection, I was looking through all my brushes and realized I didnt have a full sized kabuki brush. I took the chance of buying one from ELF and now I only wish I had bought an extra one for my sister! This brush is $5 and is made of synthetic Taklon bristles. This is supposed to be antibacterial, but really I dont see how that is possible. Just clean your brushes regularly to be safe and keep your complexion clear :) This brush is so soft, I was shocked because after all it is from ELF. It works great and only shedded a strand or two which is absolutely wonderful. The ferrule is metal and quite sturdy; it keeps the bristles fully packed together. This brush is nice and thick, and it is great for full coverage with face powders. For the price, I would consider this a steal :)

E.L.F Studio Mineral Face Primer

To kick off my ELF review, I have here their mineral face primer available for $6.00. If you havent heard of ELF cosmetics before, get on this stuff! This company sells their drugstore brand at the lowest prices ever! These products are available at Target starting from $1, $3, and $5!! I had huge orders so I shopped online. This silicone based primer goes on before makeup to make your face a flawless canvas for your foundation and concealer. Meant to fill in lines and pores, this base will make your face smooth and help your makeup last all day long. This is a great product for the price. This really does apply smoothly and help makeup glide on. It is silicone based which will need to be exfoliated off when washing makeup off. I have no complaints because for only six dollars, it works well and does what it is supposed to do, and its better than paying up to $24 for a smaller amount of Smashbox primer. My only caution is that silicones may make the face oily; however, I have oily skin and this was not a problem for me. Another caution: The pump on this product (genius!) is faulty (not so genius..) It squirts out way too much product in just one pump and the pump is very tough to push down. I recommend carefully pumping half a pump onto finger tips, rubbing finger tips together, and applying a dot on the chin, forehead, and both cheeks before rubbing in with your fingers. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, here is your fix.

We've Moved!

Ok well I didnt move, my makeup did! I decided I needed more room and better lighting for my Makeup set up and becuase I don't own a vanity I had to come up with something of my own. This is what I came up with: It is a bedside table in front of my window! I may not have the best set up that most women do but I can still create great looks with what I've got. Un/fortunately I share a room with my younger sister so I take what I can get. Hopefully when Im a bit older and married I'll set a room off to the side just for beauty (fingers crossed!).
I keep my cosmetics drawers up on top. The purple bin next to it holds my false lashes (I will have a storage review soon on where I got those and the price on them). I bought a small brush holder recently which sits next to the purple bin and I keep my daily-use brushes there for convenience. I placed this right in front of my window and when Im doing my makeup I can just pull back the curtains to have amazing lighting. My makeup has actually been looking so much better because of this; I no longer think something looks good but then see it change to being too much when I step outside! My bedsid table comes with two drawers which is perfect for some extra storage. I keep any extra brushes, lotions, creams, etc in those drawers. It has just worked out so much better for me. For those who are not lucky enough to own a vanity table, this may work for you as it has for me!

Gucci Guilty

I was fortunate to recieve this perfume sample from Gucci; it is their newest scent Guilty. The deluxe sample came with a mini poster  and informational postcard on the Eau de Toilette. This oriental floral fragrance contains top notes of Pink Pepper, a heart note of Lilac, and base notes of Patchoili and Amber. This new scent is supposed to awaken the inner vixen in every women and encourage them to be promiscuous and have a dangerous adventure. The scent goes on light and floral at first and is very intruiging. After a few hours of wear, it will turn darker, heavier, muskier, and over all, sexier. This is definitely an evening perfume. It reminds me of a venus fly trap; the way it is beautiful and alluring yet traps you in its danger. This fragrance wouldn't be what I call dangerous but it will bring men arching their necks for another whiff as you walk by. I asked my boyfriend what he thought of it and he agreed he would hands down have an affair with a woman wearing this scent. Of course he was only kidding but the intent stays the same; this perfume lives up to its name; making you feel sexy and empowered, and maybe even a little Guilty later with the men that find your scent inviting. This retails at $75 dollars for 75 ml. In my opinion, it is worth the money; I have purchased more expensive frangrances and I plan to buy this one next! Join the band wagon, be Guilty ;)
Happy blogging!

Acrylic Nails

I think all women can agree that they love seeing new acylic nail design and nail art so I have decided to share with everyone my current full set, and my matching tootsies too! I got these done for my boyfriend's graduation dinner. These were done by my manicurist in a salon out of town for $45 plus $15 for the toes. On my hands I got the newer Duckfoot tips which I have been seeing everywhere lately! I requested a dark pink acrylic though I usually prefer the most natural looking color my manicurist has; I figured the dark pink would make the other colors pop! As for the design, I asked for the thing that never gets old and is seen on every nail nowadays: Zebra print. I split them diagonally though and did the other half with a purple confetti glitter powder that is added to the acrylic powder. On my thumb and ring finger I am sporting half purple sparkle, and half China Glaze silver as an undercoat and plum OPI crackle polish to top it off! I have been dieing to get a full set with the greatest polish to hit the shelves lately. On my toes I decided to match my fingers with the crackle polish. This is all topped with protective UV gel. This isnt a review but rather a way to share something that I think a lot of ladies enjoy. I love seeing different designs that people get so here's a look at mine, enjoy!

EOS Lip Balm Smooth Sphere

When summer time comes around my makeup routine changes. California's summers get hot enough to cook an egg on the pavement! So instead of using lipsticks which do nothing to moisturize my lips in the heat, I use lip balms or chapsticks to keep my kisser from drying out. My favorite this year are from EOS or Evolution of Smooth. These can be found at your local Walmart or Target for around $3 or $4. I love the shape of these! They come a little egg shaped with a thumb imprint. You twist them open, but instead of digging your fingers into the balm, these are inverted and a ball of balm protrudes from the bottom half of the sphere! This makes it easy to apply: just pucker up and rub the little ball of balm on your pout, twist the cap back on and your done! These are made packed with shea butter, jojoba oil, and vitamin E. These are 100% all natural and 95% organic. They are gluten free, paraben free, petroleum free, and phthalate free. They come in five flavors. I only bought three: Honeysuckle Honeydew, Summer Fruit, and Lemon Drop. I was not able to find flavors Medicated Tangerine or Sweet Mint. These work so well. I had severely chapped lips and using these for two days cleared it all up! I definitely reccomend these balms. The company also sells hand lotion, body lotion, shave cream, and lip balms in Smooth Stick form. I hope you get a chance to try out their products! Happy blogging and God bless!

Coming Soon: E.L.F

Boxes with tissue marks an open box day (the day I open boxes)!! I got my ELF orders in, and reviews are soon to follow. The shipping took longer than most places I order from; ELF partnered with USPS and FedEx took about two weeks to get my orders to Cali from NY. They packaged everything very nicely though, and nothing was damagaed on the journey to my home. Here is a sneak peak of my orders...
I won't be reviewing every single thing I purchased because half of the order belongs to my sister. You can see reviews of her products on her blog at sparklemepink94.blogspot.com
Keep reading for ELF reviews in the upcoming weeks!
